A Rare and Important English Cabinet attributed to Messrs Jackson and Graham in the manner of the designer Bruce James Talbert, completed in July 1876. This cabinet of mahogany and satinwood with ebony stringing was made to display a collection of 44 silver, lacquer and gold appliqué narrative and emblematic Komai panels, which were displayed in an exhibition of Japanese Works of Art in May 1876 in the Jackson & Graham showrooms at 37-38 Oxford Street, London. The individually numbered locks are by Chubb and were delivered and signed for on 12th July and the hinges are by Collinson & Lock.
